Cat Health and Wellness Products

There’s nothing more exciting than adding a new member to our family. When your newest addition is of the four-legged, feline variety, there are many things you have to know because while cats are a bit more independent than dogs, they have very specific care-taking needs just like dogs and they require tender, loving care as much as their canine counterparts do. If you’ve recently brought home a kitten or have rescued a cat, it’s time to stock up on some staples you’ll need to have in your home. Cat health and wellness products are plentiful at Zen Pet Supplies’ online store, so you should be able to find everything you need in just one place. In our current inventory for cats, we carry these health and wellness products: De-wormers, dental products, hairball control products, medications, urinary care and vitamins/supplements. If there’s something you need for your feline buddy, there’s a good chance you’ll find it right here on the Zen Pet Supplies website.

Before using most health and wellness products that you’re not familiar with, you will want to check with your veterinarian. If you choose to administer some type of health and wellness product without your vet’s approval, you must read the label very carefully and make sure you apply the product exactly as directed. If it’s some type of product to treat a condition or illness, you may want to start with a small amount, say on your cat’s skin, to ensure there’s no negative reaction. Once you’ve spot tested a small area and your cat has no adverse reaction, it should be safe to apply more of the medication or treatment to the affected area of your cat.

It’s not always easy to get your cat to take a pill or a vitamin. Many people hide pills, vitamins and supplements in a cat’s favorite “people food” or some type of treat. Cats are very, very intelligent, and if there’s a way to find the pill and spit it out, they certainly will do that every time. If you must administer a de-wormer to your feline buddy, be sure you know what you’re doing. Worm medication is serious business, and if you administer this type of drug incorrectly or give too much of a certain type of medication, you can hurt your cat (or worse). Be sure to consult a knowledgeable cat owner or veterinarian before administering any type of health and wellness product you’re not familiar with or can’t figure out how to use it. Any vet or experienced cat owner will be happy to help you.
